Benjamin John BIDGOOD who was born about 1710 probably in Devon, England. He married Grace TUCKER in West Teignmouth Devon England in 1741 and had at least two children Benjamin and William. A Cooper, Benjamin John developed merchant and shipping enterprises which took him to Newfoundland where in about 1750 he married Mary ?. They had a son Phillip and lived in Petty Harbor, Newfoundland. Benjamin John was buried in St John’s Newfoundland in 1759.

Descendants continue to live in Petty Harbor and nearby St John’s, though at least one emigrated to Massachusetts USA.

I have some 230 of these descendants in my records.

With the exception of living persons this Tree is on TribalPages and on WorldConnect which has a GEDCOM download option.
