English Non-Conformist Birth Registers

September 5, 2013

Ancestry has just added images of the the English Non-Conformist registers to its site and they do add quite a bit of information, particularly those for Dr. Williams’ library registration.  They can be a wealth of information:
Name, date of birth, where born (typically house of the parents with address)
Father’s occupation and, if relevant, business address
Maternal grandfather’s name, business and business or residential address
Name and address of those present at the birth which is quite often another female family member and can give one another family address.  I’ve picked up aunt’s, grandmother’s (and therefore grandfather’s) home address

There are 89 Bidgood entries (some duplicates), 10 Bedgood and, no doubt, assorted others.
